Anna & Marina engraving

I'm beyond into engravings, both pseudo and actual. A portion of an incredibly comprehensive branding for Anna & Marina, this little crest is all of the things I love about engraved crests: detailed, organic, shaded, and featuring a delightful banner. View the entire project by Province Studio on Behance. Also worth checking out? Their project featuring heraldry work. Sublime.

holy amaze cow

Pentagram's newly updated website is an amazingly comprehensive resource. I could scroll, sift and browse for days. And I probably will.

Studio On Fire did it again.

Is it just me, or does the 2011 Studio On Fire letterpress calendar seem like a total steal? With contributions from Adam Garcia, Brian Gunderson, Jessica Hische, We Make It So, and Aesthetic Apparatus printed in four inks by artisans and experts of Studio On Fire, I think they could be charging a lot more for these beauties. I'm in serious love. Order yours (or mine!) through Studio On Fire's delight-full website.

typozon

I've got a big ole design crush on Cristian Vargas of Typozon, starting with his pretty web navigation and reaching near infatuation with the vibrant colors and clever typography. This kind of energy is contagious, and I'm super psyched about these business cards, among other things. I wanted to include everything, but isn't that the story of my life.

vintage ITC

Sean Adams wrote recently about photoset ITC display fonts from the 80's.
These scans make me want to hole up in the library reaaaallll bad. I consider my obsession with Herb Lubalin's work to be fairly healthy.
I will find more of these, yes indeed.

jill sylvia paper cuts

Obsessive work fascinates me, and Jill Sylvia's overwhelmingly tedious paper cuts are no exception. It's like delicate lace for business documents. Really, really incredible.
